This Privacy Policy explains how SDAMG — Smart Diet & Metabolism Guide ("SDAMG," "we," "us," "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you visit our websites, use our meal plan builder, browse our food encyclopedia and recipe collection, subscribe to our email and/or SMS updates, create an account, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the "Services").

- Recipe interactions: recipes you save to favorites, meal plans you generate and save

We do not request or store medical diagnoses, prescriptions, or clinical health data. Please do not submit sensitive medical details through our forms.

- Device and browser data: device type, operating system, browser type, language
- Usage data: pages viewed, recipes browsed, foods searched, meal plans generated, links clicked, referral URLs, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps
- Quiz interaction data: quiz completion rates, answer patterns (in aggregate, for improving quiz accuracy)
- Cookies and similar technologies: cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar tools
C) Information from Third Parties
- Google: when you sign in using Google OAuth, your public profile information (name, email, profile picture)
- Service providers: that help us operate the Services (hosting, analytics, security, email delivery, SMS delivery)

3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services, including our meal plan builder, food encyclopedia, recipe collection, and personalization features
- Generate personalized meal plans based on your quiz responses

- Enable PDF export of your personalized meal plans

- Detect, prevent, and address security incidents, fraud, abuse, or technical issues
- Comply with legal obligations and maintain appropriate records
4. Email and SMS Communications
A) Email (CAN-SPAM)
If you opt in to email updates, we will send newsletters, weekly meal plan inspiration, new recipe alerts, seasonal nutrition guides, and occasional promotional messages.

B) SMS (TCPA)
If you opt in to receive texts, you consent to receive recurring automated or pre-recorded marketing or informational messages from SDAMG at the phone number provided.

5. How We Disclose Information

- Service providers: hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), content management (Sanity), analytics, email delivery, SMS delivery, and security providers, under contracts that restrict how they may use your data
- Affiliates and partners: when you choose to engage with a partner offer or promotion
- Advertising and measurement partners: as described in our cookie notice, to measure and improve advertising relevance; no sensitive quiz data is shared for advertising
- Corporate transactions: if SDAMG is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred; we will provide notice before information becomes subject to a different privacy policy
- Legal obligations: when required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect rights, safety, or property
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Google Sign-In
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive limited profile information (name, email, profile picture) to create and manage your account. We use Google OAuth in accordance with Google's API Services User Data Policy. We do not access your Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or other Google data beyond basic profile.
You can revoke SDAMG's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account settings: myaccount.google.com/permissions
7. Meal Plan Data
If you take the meal plan quiz, your responses are used to generate personalized recommendations. This data is stored securely in your account (if signed in) or in a session (if not signed in). Meal plans can be exported as PDF for your personal use. We may use aggregated, de-identified quiz data to improve our recommendation algorithms.
8. Data Retention
We keep your data as long as necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, and as described in this Policy.
- Account data: retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward
- Quiz responses and meal plans: retained as part of your account data
- Subscription and consent records: retained for compliance purposes (typically 3–5 years after last interaction)
- Analytics and usage data: typically retained in aggregate or de-identified form
You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at hello@sdamg.com or through your account settings.
10. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If you have reason to believe your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately at hello@sdamg.com.
