Why You Should Never Dishwash Your Knives
The dishwasher is the single worst thing you can do to a good knife.

The Problem
Knives bang against racks and items, chipping the edge. Harsh detergent and high heat corrode steel and dissolve handle adhesives.
The Right Way
- 1Wash immediately after use.
- 2Warm water, dish soap, soft sponge.
- 3Wipe along the blade from spine to edge.
- 4Rinse, dry completely with a towel, store properly.
